South African sci-fi noir author Tinus Etsebeth creates books, comics, and graphic novels blending supernatural mystery, cosmic science, deep-space exploration, and his original concept, the Box and Bubble Theory.

His work blends science-fiction noir, supernatural mystery, and graphic storytelling to explore humanity, technology, and the unknown. At the centre of this universe lies the Box and Bubble Theory, a concept introduced in Saltwater. In this vision of reality, universes drift like fragile bubbles through a vast cosmic ocean—sometimes touching, sometimes colliding.Between them exist thin membranes of energy, light, and dark matter. When these boundaries weaken, strange echoes begin to pass through: forgotten worlds, impossible signals, and forces that should never meet.In Etsebeth’s stories, the greatest mysteries begin when those barriers start to break.

March 1989. The Kalahari Desert. A mining accident awakens an ancient Interstellar Collider buried for 30,000 years.Earth has 30 days. A detective, a missing farmer, and a town that shouldn’t exist lead to a terrible truth.Only a San elder hears the ticking beneath the sand—and the countdown has begun.

L.I.S.A., a synthetic assistant, visits Earth for the first time after centuries in orbit.A mysterious deep-space signal begins to change everything. As it spreads through machines and satellites, one truth becomes impossible to ignore—the signal is coming closer…
and closer. But first, have some coffee.

A mysterious train appears in a lonely maize field, revealing wartime secrets buried for decades. As whispers of an old prophecy surface, the truth becomes impossible to ignore. Someone has come to collect fifty specific souls to fill the Cup of Souls. Today, number forty-three was taken. The Vatican knows about him—and the Vatican does what the Vatican does.

A discovery on Mars in 2042 changed the world. By 2069, John Wolf takes the jobs nobody wants, crossing Mars and Jupiter’s Manhattan. When something ancient awakens aboard Kobalt-4—a science vessel, the only one of its kind—it becomes clear someone hid something inside its hull. John believes good things happen to good people, but he hates space pirates. If you're one, stay the @#C& out of his way.

Signal W1723 has revealed its origin, but reaching the source will take twenty-five years. L.I.S.A., visiting Earth for the first time, begins decoding the message—and discovers the signal isn’t moving. That may make it the most dangerous signal in space. Meanwhile, Gregg returns as the “friendly” coffee machine… yeah, right.
Nobody read the fine print.

Coming 2028:New adventures begin beyond known space, where mystery, mechanised worlds, and dangerous discoveries await those willing to travel farther than humanity has ever gone. One
question
remains
—will the Block and Bubble Theory finally come to life…and will there be a
SALTWATER 2?
